Over my 20 years of working with people, I have found that an integrative approach to health is always the most effective. In my experience, people find their way to healing most quickly through a combination of therapies. In my Pilates and movement classes I weave in movements from Pilates, Feldenkrais, and Yoga. In my private sessions, I often use some basic bodywork to open muscles and bones and relieve tension. In my consultations and 8-week program, I draw on my experience with movement therapies and my deep knowledge of alternative healing methods and mind body medicine. In all my work, I use common sense and practical methods. I focus on the unique needs of each individual, rather than being married to a singular approach. Each person is so different and constantly evolving, and so is their body and their mind. Everyone has a unique learning style, so I try to get up to speed as soon as possible on which methods to use and how to speak the language of each individual client so they can grasp complex health information quickly and easily.

About me: I have a deep enthusiasm for the body-mind connection and helping people heal. I first became fascinated with movement, and how people can heal through movement in my late 20s when I started to have severe back pain from some old injuries and sitting at a computer all day. I eventually found Feldenkrais and Pilates and loved them both so much I switched careers. Shortly after the back issues, I became sick with a chronic virus that left me unable to go to work or barely get through the day. With no doctors to guide me, I read voraciously and was able to become my own medical advisor and eventually reaped the benefits of many healing modalities including acupuncture and Yoga and mind body medicine. From my own health challenges, I became passionate about the healing power of movement and other alternative therapies. I have witnessed how movement and different forms of alternative care have changed the lives of hundreds of people I have worked with over the last few decades.
